FIFTH SUNDAY OF EASTER: CYCLE C

INTRODUCTION:

We all long for a beautiful home and a pleasant neighbourhood, where people help one another, respect on another and have time for one another. We long for a group of people where we not be afraid of others, but can trust everyone. It is not only you and I who want such good relationships between people. God wants it. In the Gospel today, Christ says: ‘I give you a new commandment: Love one another. Just as I have loved you.’

GOSPEL – JOHN 13: 31-35

When Judas had left them, Jesus said, “Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in him. If God is glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and God will glorify him at once. My children, I will be with you only a little while longer. I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

For Seminarians for the Deanery Mass that will be on the 1st of June, and the target is R15000. The amounts collected so far are RPP R7320.60, St Jude R2900.20. Balance to raise R4779.20, we have only 2 weekends left

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT ON THURSDAYS

Has resumed. Please remember your time for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Thursdays and new volunteers are welcome. We still need someone to fill in between 1-2pm

South Africa is at an historic crossroad. Secularists are trying to push God from the public square. They reject His action upon society. We must stop the secularist advance and pray to God for help. He will hear us, if we pray through the intercession of His Blessed Mother. That’s why we launched the Public Square Rosary Crusade.

ANNIVERSARY OF THE CONSECRATION OF OUR REGINA PACIS CHURCH BUILDING

Will be on the 25th of May. There will only be one Mass this coming Sunday at RPP @ 8am, NO Mass at St Jude. There will be a Bring-and-Share in the hall after Mass.
